Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager – Solar & Wind will be responsible for identifying, developing, and nurturing new business opportunities for solar PV and wind power projects across India. This role requires a strong understanding of the renewable energy market, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to identify potential clients and projects from initial lead generation to successful contract closure.
Qualifications:
- MBA / PGDM from a reputable institution is mandatory.
- B.E / B. Tech in (Electrical, Mechanical or Renewable Energy). Electrical preferred.
- 2-5 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or client management roles within the renewable energy sector, with demonstrable exposure to both solar and wind projects.
- Proven track record of identifying and qualifying new business opportunities.
- Strong understanding of the solar and wind energy project lifecycle, including development, financing, construction, and operation.
- Knowledge of India’s renewable energy market dynamics, policies, and regulatory landscape (especially in Karnataka and other key states).
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective client relationships.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint and Excel).
- Willingness to travel extensively as required.
