Job Summary:
The Electrical Engineer – Wind will be responsible for supporting the detailed electrical engineering, site supervision, and commissioning activities for wind power projects. This role involves ensuring the correct installation, testing, and performance of all electrical components from the wind turbine generator (WTG) to the collection system, substation, and grid interconnection, in compliance with designs and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- B.E /B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
- 2-5 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering roles, specifically in the construction, installation, or commissioning of wind power projects.
- Strong understanding of wind turbine generator (WTG) electrical systems, wind farm collection networks, and substation interfaces.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian Electrical Rules (IE Rules), IS Standards relevant to wind farm electrical installations, and CEA Regulations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, SLDs, and layouts.
- Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and procedures relevant to wind farms.
- Basic knowledge of electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP is a plus).
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills for complex electrical systems.
- Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently to project sites across India.
